every ones in a rush now adays, and they only look after them selfs, i have always been of the opinion to treat every one on the road as an idiot and that will keep me as safe as possible.

Over here there seems to be a belief that if you're turning left you don't need to indicate, if you're in a dedicated turning lane you don't need to indicate, if you're in a car park or on a private road you don't need to indicate and if you don't feel like it you don't need to indicate. On the other hand there are a number of drivers who do indicate to go around a corner and then don't turn their indicator lights off and drive for kilometres with a light blinking and you're never quite sure if they're going to change lanes or turn at the next intersection. I've taken to driving with my crystal ball turned on so I can read their minds LOL.

If i am at a roundabout waiting, and someone just turns left without indicating and i catch their eye i frantically point to the front of their car.It makes your day when they stop a bit further on to have a look at their car thinking their is something wrong with it,well to me their is, the bloody indicaters don't work when you go round a roundabout you d*ckhead.

What drivers also don`t think about is that pedestrians need to know where the traffic is going. I don`t drive any more. I always hated it and I think that a nervous driver is sometimes as dangerous as a loony driver. But when crossing the road etc it`s really useful to know where a car is going. Just a thought...........

100% right expat. They look in their rear view mirror can't see any car behind them so don't bother indicating not thinking of the pedestrians.Times i have waited for a car coming up the road only for it to turn off without indicating just as it gets near you.About a year ago i was with my wife walking near the bottom of thorndale road and a man on a push bike crossed the road at the junction with crookdole road, when a car came down from the square straight round the corner and nearly wiped the bloke on the bike out.The driver of the car started shouting at the bloke on the bike for crossing the road, but he had'nt seen me and i let him have it about not using his indicators and when it dawned on him what he had done he said he would always use his indicators from then on.He was ashen faced as was the bloke on the bike.

HEY TIM did the guy on the bike have a bell, cos that's one of the things that gets my goat, i do a lot of walking, got 2 dogs so i need to, and the amount of bike riders that use the footpaths, and approach you from behind, and expect you to know that they are there, if they had a bell one ring and i would know they are coming, but they think Ive got a rear view mirror on my head, and give me a dirty look cos Ive not moved over, so i stand my ground now,and tell them the law says a bike most have a bell and not to be ridden on pavements sod um

He still did not deserve to nearly die because someone can't be bothered to use indicators,i mean it's hard work moving your hand about half an inch to put your indicator arm on.!!!!!!.Has any bike got a bell on it anymore? .Makes you laugh, they spend hundreds on buying bikes and then not spend a bit more on a bell or lights.
