Oh bummer! and I really could do with a washing machine motor. They always come in handy LOL!
I recently bought some china on ebay to supplement my good dinner set. I won them for a good price as this particular set is very expensive here and you have to order the pieces you want and then wait for months for them to arrive. I felt really good about my deal until the sellers let me know the price of the postage. Even so I did all right with a gravy jug and saucer and a set of coffee cups and saucers but I nearly died when another seller informed me that to send 2 dinner plates, 6 bread and butter plates and 6 cereal bowls was going to cost 99 POUNDS!!!!! It was only half that price to send it by boat, but then the financial crash happened, the A$ fell and it ended up costing me $160 all up. The original dinner setting for 4 only cost me $299 to begin with. I can see my grandchildren one day on the Antiques Roadshow...'Well, I don't know much about this dinner set but it has been handed down through the family...'
Actually that washing machine motor is starting to look like a bargain lol

Just put it in your carry on luggage. Summer's coming here, you will only need your shorts and thongs (flip-flops to you). lol

Thongs!!! What else? The ones you wear on your feet were essential footware here long before 'flip flops' became a fashion item elsewhere in the world. Most respectable Aussies would have collection of them for various activities. Rubber ones for everyday wear in various colours to match your outfit. Later came leather ones for more formal occasions then in the 70s platform thongs with thick velour straps. One never wore thongs to church, weddings, funerals or the RSL or Leagues club. Even today they are strictly forbidden in the clubs but they seem to be acceptable everywhere else. I used to wear them but nowadays I have arthritis in my feet and the bit that goes between the toes is quite painful. As for the other variety - I can't think of anything more uncomfortable. It'd be like walking around with a permanent wedgie wouldn't it?

Whoa --- too much information there! LOL
You need two thongs if you're going to wear them on your feet.
