I see the parish council are making plans to celebrate the queens diamond jubilee with a bonfire plus a funfair and other things it is good that the council are taking a lead on this and inviting all the village to take part . IT is worth celebrating this day as the queen is one the best things that this county has got she has lead by example and she is a great lady.

No arguments about the Queen but if a bonfire (with fireworks) and a funfair is the best we can do, then I 'll stick to planting a tree, as I did for the Millenium! Still going strong and will see me out, hopefully. Bit more permanent than a puff of smoke!

: That is just part of the celebrations Apologies - I forgot the hanging baskets and our legacy to the next generations - the Calverton Jubilee Bogs - what a relief! At least it will be when they finally re-open -can't wait much longer.

The queen is nothing more than a horrid little imperialist. She and the whole carnival of hangers on and parasites should be given the elbow. They take all and contribute nothing whatsoever. Outdated and unecessary... sorry to disagree but that is how I see the whole matter of the monarchy, be rid of them all!

I thought WoolWorths had gone down the toilet already, years ago! No need for a ribbon of any colour - a roll of paper will do just as well.

I probably would if I could find the bugger - it's somewhere in the Millenium Wood but I can't remember exactly where!
