The free paper the recorder, has been canceled in the whole of the Notts area,It was first introduced some 30 years ago, gone with it is around 500 part time and full time jobs, from paper merchants to delivery people, It was owned by the same group that runs the NOTTS POST,THE DAILY MAIL,DERBY TIMES, LEICESTER MERCURY,and many more. is the news paper running out of a future, with technology taking over in the form of computers, mobile phones,ex. i like to read a paper especially at the weekends over breakfast, seems like the young of today have other ideas

So called "Free" Newspapers are only free because they are subsidised by Advertisers and if the Advertisers aren't getting enough business they pull their Adverts! Simples. Some Newspapers will survive, the same way that Books will always be around. But not apparently the News of the World!!!!

Got to admit, I've not read a newpaper in many years, unless at the dentist/doctor and waiting to go in. I can't find a paper that has a neutral attitude, they are all left wing or right wing and the remainder I wouldn't use as loo paper. First thing every morning I catch up on the news via the BBC website. The BBC are too left wing for my liking but the best of the internet news sites.

So if you watched the left wing biased BBC (they do do the News best of all, I agree) and bought a right wing Broadsheet say once a week - either Saturday or Sunday (what with all the supplements, it will take you a week to wade through) would you then end up with a balanced view?

Clack...
It's like the summing up at the end of a trial, whoever goes last is the most likely to succeed in getting the vote.... so do I read the paper first or the news on the internet?
