Whoa! what's happening with the weather again? You're all getting washed away and we're getting frizzled again. We've seen the pictures of the floods, especially in the Lake District. We've just had 4 days in a row of 41C (that's over 100F). The bushfires have started again. Thankfully in NSW there has only been one house lost and no lives. It doesn't bode well for our coming summer. It's still only spring here.

Something is definitely up with the weather. Whether it's global warming or just some sort of shift in the climate. We had 39 on Saturday, 41 on Sunday and 21 yesterday. On Sunday we went on an outing with an over 50s club we belong to. Went for a cruise on a lake. You'd think it would be cooler on the water. Well it was - only 39 and the wind was like the hot breeze you get standing in front of the oven, except it just kept blowing. It would've killed a brown dog. When we got back to the tour bus that had been standing in the sun for four hours we all thought we were going to die. It took nearly an hour for the A\C on the bus to kick in on the trip home. When we finally got home we turned on our A\C and straight into the bathroom for a cold shower. Trouble was the cold water was hot coming out of the pipes underground LOL !!!!

I do hope you've arranged some nice weather for July. We're coming over for a holiday. This will be hubby's first (and probably only) visit to the old dart so I want him to be impressed LOL

I've got one of those waterproof poncho thingies for each of us. You talk about rain, we've just had some shockers over the last week. Thunder and lightening and then the heavens open and I'm not exaggerating, it's like someone has just chucked a giant bucket of water over the whole area and it takes about half an hour before it eases to normal rain.

Bobby's Girl, I have put a request in for excellent weather for your trip! Thank you you're very kind. My sister and I came over in 2001 at the same time and it was lovely weather. Only a couple of days we had rain but it didn't stop us doing what we wanted. We're still experiencing torrential rain and thunderstorms. Can't complain as it is filling up our dams and reservoirs but the humidity is something else. I'm sitting here at the computer with a towel over my shoulder as I am perspiring from every pore. Sorry - not a pretty picture but phew!!! roll on winter.
